The importance of sustainability and reducing CO2 levels in an effort to counter climate change has never been more critical. Schaeffler as one of the largest first tiers in the automotive industry is leading the way towards climate neutrality and their vision of a cleaner tomorrow is expected to be shared by all partners. Their recent supplier day 2022, with the motto `Together towards Climate Neutrality´ was another example of how they lead in these efforts.
After the `Zero Defect´ achievement at MPJ for year 2021, PMG Shanghai performed `Zero Defect´ on Q1 2022 as promised.
Right at the beginning of 2022, PMG Shanghai received the `Excellent Supplier Award 2021´ from its customer BWI. PMG supplies Powder Metal components for Shock Absorber in China, in Europe as well as in North America to BWI.
Effective January 4, 2022, the international automotive supplier Powder Metal Goldschmidt (PMG), headquartered in Füssen, Germany, has acquired the Chinese powder metal specialist Yangzhou Leader Powder Metallurgy Co., Ltd. (LEADER), headquartered in Jiangsu, China. The Chinese automotive supplier LEADER was founded in 1997, has around 250 employees today and specializes in the production of shock absorber components made of powder metal.
The twin tube damper of PMG was established in the 90s and nominated by the PMG-partner ZF for World Design (WD). Since then, the innovative system has been impressing worldwide with unbeatable advantages: Twin tube dampers require lower gas pressure levels; 6-8 bar are enough to ensure precision damping as well as low noise levels. They offer lower friction, greater ride comfort, variable curve configuration and shorter installation lengths than the monotube.
According to IDEPA, the jury of the 2021 Awards for Business Impulse underlines the sustained increase in highly specialized employment of PMG Asturias, as well as the wide and diversified portfolio of products and solutions to respond to a demanding sector and the international leadership backed by an export level of 95%.
On July 15th, PMG Shanghai received the "Excellent Supplier Award" at DPT Supplier Day. The PMG Shanghai plant supplied synchronizer components to DPT for their DCT150, DCT200 and DCT300 transmissions.
